Pakistan Announces Squad for Bangladesh T20I Series – Salman Ali Agha to Lead

Pakistan Announces Squad for Bangladesh T20I Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International (T20I) series against Bangladesh. The series is scheduled to begin on July 20 at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

All-rounder Salman Ali Agha will continue as the captain of Pakistan’s T20I squad. He has been trusted with the leadership role once again after his recent performances and leadership qualities impressed the selectors.

Unfortunately, vice-captain Shadab Khan and fast bowler Haris Rauf have been ruled out of the series due to injuries. Their absence is a big setback for the team, but it also opens doors for new faces to shine on the international stage.

One of the most exciting additions to the squad is Salman Mirza, a promising fast bowler who made headlines during PSL Season 9. Playing for Lahore Qalandars, Mirza showed exceptional talent by taking 9 wickets in just 4 matches. His bowling average was 15.00, and he maintained an economy rate of 9.64 — impressive numbers that earned him his first national call-up.

Pakistan Team to Arrive in Bangladesh on July 16

The national team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on July 16, just four days before the first T20I match. This short gap gives the team some time to settle, practice, and adjust to the conditions in Dhaka.

The T20I series will be played on July 20, 22, and 24, all at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Each match will begin at 6:00 PM local time.

Last Time Pakistan Dominated Bangladesh

The last time these two teams met was in May 2025, when Pakistan clean-swept Bangladesh 3-0 in a home series. Pakistan will be aiming to repeat that strong performance, but playing in Bangladesh’s home conditions could make the contest more competitive.
