Pak ID App Version 5.0.0 Released with Upgraded Dashboard and Features

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the launch of Pak ID Mobile App Version 5.0.0, introducing several new facilities to make services easier and faster for citizens across Pakistan.

According to NADRA, the latest update brings many improvements. The app now has a modern dashboard with a cleaner design, making it easier for people to navigate and find what they need. The search option has been refined, allowing quicker access to important services. In addition, the cancellation process for identity cards has been made faster, saving time for applicants.

One of the most important updates is the addition of bilingual labeling in both English and Urdu. This step is especially helpful for people living in rural and less developed areas, where many citizens feel more comfortable using Urdu. By offering services in both languages, NADRA has made the app more inclusive and user-friendly.

The new version also allows citizens to track the status of their applications directly from the app’s inbox, which means people no longer have to visit NADRA centers to check updates. Another useful feature is the introduction of an online death registration facility. For now, this service is available through Union Councils in selected districts, but it is expected to expand further in the future.

Following the release of Version 5.0.0, NADRA officials have encouraged citizens to download the updated app so they can take full advantage of these enhanced services. The update is designed to make official processes more convenient, efficient, and accessible.

This development comes after NADRA’s earlier initiatives to reach vulnerable communities. Recently, NADRA launched a fast-track registration campaign in areas badly affected by floods, such as Swat and Buner.

In collaboration with the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), NADRA deployed mobile registration teams that traveled to flood-hit regions. These teams provided on-the-spot identity card services, ensuring that affected people could quickly obtain or renew their CNICs.

The mobile units visited several areas, including Lundikass and Babuzai in Swat, as well as different locations in Buner district. By setting up registration points close to affected communities, NADRA made it easier for residents to access services without traveling long distances.

Through this initiative, displaced families and individuals were able to get timely access to government relief programs and social protection schemes. The campaign not only helped people regain their official identification but also enabled them to become eligible for emergency aid and financial assistance.
