The Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BBISE), located in Quetta, has announced new dates for the intermediate annual exams. These exams will now start on 2nd May 2025 in all areas of the province. This change was made after an official notice was shared by the Board on 27th April 2025.
Earlier, the exams were planned to begin on 22nd April 2025, but they had to be postponed for about three weeks. The reason given was “unavoidable circumstances,” which means something unexpected or serious happened that made it impossible to hold the exams on time. However, to reduce the problems faced by students, parents, and teachers, the board has now decided to restart the exams sooner than planned.
In a similar move, the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) also shared an important update. It announced that the postponed intermediate exams in Karachi will now begin on 5th May 2025. This gives students in Karachi a few extra days to prepare.
At the same time, there was another important decision made by the Sindh Assembly’s parliamentary committee. The committee decided to give grace marks to first-year students who could not pass their exams. This decision came after a report showed that there were problems and unfair practices during the examination process. The goal of the grace marks is to help students who were affected by these issues and ensure they are not treated unfairly.
