NADRA Launches Online Application Tracking via Pak-ID Mobile App

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken another step toward digital convenience by introducing a new feature in its upgraded Pak-ID mobile application. With this latest update, citizens can now easily track the status of their applications online, removing the need to visit NADRA offices in person.

This improvement is a big relief for people who previously had to wait in long queues just to check updates about their applications. Now, with just a few taps on their mobile phones, users can see whether their request for a new identity card, B-Form, or Family Registration Certificate (FRC) has been processed or not.

According to NADRA, all services related to CNICs, B-Forms, and FRCs are fully integrated into the Pak-ID app. This means citizens can not only apply for these documents but also update them, pay fees, and even get them delivered — all without visiting a physical centre.

A spokesperson from NADRA highlighted that this facility will be especially helpful for overseas Pakistanis, who often face difficulties in accessing NADRA services while living abroad. With the mobile app, they can manage their identity documents from anywhere in the world.

Earlier, NADRA had also reformed the entire CNIC modification process to make it simpler and more user-friendly. The new system allows people to complete the entire procedure through their smartphones, avoiding unnecessary visits to NADRA offices.

The updated Pak-ID app (version 4.4.3) guides users through every step, including:

  • Biometric verification using fingerprints and facial recognition,
  • Uploading necessary documents directly from the phone, and
  • Making secure payments through online channels.

Once the application is approved, the updated CNIC is delivered directly to the applicant’s provided address, whether inside Pakistan or abroad. This makes the process smooth, time-saving, and convenient for everyone.

Through this digital transformation, NADRA is moving closer to its goal of providing modern, technology-driven services that meet the needs of citizens in today’s fast-paced world.
