Mohammad Rizwan has been named the captain of Pakistan’s One Day International (ODI) team for the upcoming three-match series against the West Indies. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially announced a 16-member squad on Friday for this important series. All three matches will take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago on 8th, 10th, and 12th August.
This series is an important part of Pakistan’s preparation for future international competitions and is expected to give many players a chance to prove themselves on the field.
Right-handed batter Hasan Nawaz is the only uncapped player selected in the squad. This is a big opportunity for him to showcase his talent at the international level. Star players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi are also included in the squad, which means Pakistan is taking this series seriously and aiming for strong performances.
Before heading to the Caribbean, the Pakistan team is currently in Bangladesh, where they are playing a three-match T20I series. As soon as the T20I series ends, the team will travel to the USA on Sunday, 27 July, before continuing their tour to the West Indies.
