The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has shared an important update for all matric and intermediate students. The board has announced new exam dates after some papers were postponed due to increasing tensions between Pakistan and India. This update brings clarity and relief for students who were worried about their exam schedule.
New Exam Dates Announced
According to an official statement from the Chairman of BISE Rawalpindi, Muhammad Adnan Khan, the board has now finalized the new dates for the postponed exams.
- Matric (10th Class) practical exams will now be held on May 27 and May 29.
- Intermediate (11th and 12th Class) theory papers will take place on May 31 and June 16.
These changes affect students who were earlier told that their exams would be delayed due to the ongoing situation between the two countries. Now, they can prepare with a clear schedule in mind.
Same Centers and Sessions
The board has made it clear that no changes will be made to exam centres or timing. Every student must go to the same exam center as before and follow the same session (morning or evening) mentioned on their roll number slip. This helps avoid any confusion and keeps things simple for both students and staff.
Roll Number Slips – Old and New Both Valid
To help students, BISE Rawalpindi has uploaded new roll number slips on its official website. Students can download them easily by visiting the link:

However, the board has also announced that old roll number slips will still be accepted. This means if a student already has their previous slip, they can show that at the exam center without any issue. This step will help students who may not have internet access or who face difficulty printing a new slip.
There is also an important update regarding the Civics subject. The board has cancelled the Part 2 paper of Civics. Students will not have to appear in this exam anymore. Instead, the board has decided to give marks based on their performance in Civics Part 1. This is a helpful move, especially for students who were stressed about this paper.
