Good news for Overseas Pakistanis traveling through Lahore! Now, you can easily get your international driving license right at Allama Iqbal International Airport. This new service has been introduced by the Lahore Traffic Police to help travelers save time and avoid long visits to government offices.
A self-service traffic kiosk will soon be placed in the departure lounge of the airport. This smart machine will let travelers apply for their international driving licenses on the spot. You only need to bring your valid visa and local Pakistani driving license. Once the documents are verified, the machine will print your international license within minutes.
This digital kiosk isn’t just for international licenses. It will also allow people to:
- Renew learner permits
- Renew local driving licenses
- Renew international driving licenses
The best part? This facility will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can use it anytime—even at night or on weekends.
Traffic officials also shared more exciting news. Right now, there are only a few kiosks in the city, but by the end of this month, Lahore will have 10 kiosks in total. In the coming fiscal year, the traffic police plan to expand this system to 100 kiosks across different parts of Lahore.
This step is part of a larger plan to make traffic services faster, easier, and more convenient for everyone—especially for those living abroad who visit Pakistan for short periods.
