ICC Cricket World Cup XI 2019 No Pakistani player included .The International Cricket Council ICC on Monday revealed the best XI team of the tournament which surprisingly included none of Pakistani player despite stupendous performances from likes of Mohammad Amir, Babar Azam and others.
After almost two long month of mega cricket event, ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, where England emerged victorious for their first ever title. ICC announced the best team of the tournament led by New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson who was also awarded ‘Player of the Tournament’ for carrying his team to the final.
According to ICC official website, New Zealand’s captain and Player of the Tournament Kane Williamson has been named captain of an ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 team that includes six players from Sunday’s dramatic final at Lord’s.
Newly-crowned world champions England are the most represented with four selections in the XI while runners-up the Black Caps have two in the team, named by a panel selected by the ICC to honour players who performed well in the tournament.
The other representatives come from the losing semi-finalists India and Australia, who have two each, while Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan rounds out the team.
Surprisingly, no Pakistani player made to the World Cup XI despite staggering performance from the likes of Babaz Azam who scored 474 runs in eight innings at the average of 67.71 scoring a century and three fifties along with, pacer Mohammad Amir who took 17 wickets in eight matches with 5/30 as his personal best and Shaheen Shah Afridi who claimed 16 wickets in just five matches taking 6/35 against Bangladesh.
The side was selected by former internationals and commentators Ian Bishop, Ian Smith and Isa Guha, along with cricket writer Lawrence Booth, while ICC General Manager Cricket, Geoff Allardice, was the fifth member and convener of the committee.
