HEC Extends Deadline for USAT and HAT Registration Until September 20

HEC Extends Deadline for USAT and HAT Registration Until September 20

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has officially announced an extension in the registration deadline for two important exams — the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) and the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT). Students who still have not applied now have extra time and can submit their forms until Saturday, September 20, 2025.

HEC explained that this extension was made to give students more flexibility and to ensure that a maximum number of candidates can participate in these entrance tests. Many students had requested additional time due to various reasons such as technical issues, late preparation, or delays in completing required documents, and HEC responded to their concerns by extending the last date.

The commission also reminded students about the importance of these tests. The USAT is compulsory for anyone who wants to apply for admission into undergraduate programs in different universities across Pakistan. On the other hand, the HAT is required for students applying to higher studies such as MS/MPhil and PhD programs. It is also an eligibility requirement for several national and international scholarships that are offered through HEC.

To avoid unnecessary stress, HEC strongly advised students to register well before the final date instead of waiting until the last day, when the online system often faces heavy traffic and technical problems. The commission also encouraged students to keep checking HEC’s official website and verified social media pages for the latest updates, exam guidelines, and any further announcements.

With this extension, HEC has provided a valuable opportunity for students who were worried about missing the deadline. Now, more students will be able to secure their seats in the upcoming entrance exams and take the next step in their educational journey.
