The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has officially announced fully funded PhD scholarships under the US–Pakistan Knowledge Corridor Project, creating an incredible opportunity for talented Pakistani scholars to pursue doctoral studies at the Top 300 QS World-Ranked Universities in the United States.
This initiative is designed to strengthen academic collaboration between Pakistan and the United States and to build Pakistan’s human resource capacity in key areas of science, technology, and innovation. By investing in higher education, HEC aims to develop a new generation of researchers, scientists, and educators who can lead Pakistan toward sustainable progress and global competitiveness.
Scholarship Categories and Financial Benefits
Under this program, selected scholars will be supported under two main categories:
- Top 50 Universities:
- Full tuition fee coverage.
- Monthly living stipend.
- Comprehensive health insurance.
- Universities Ranked 51–300:
- Financial assistance of up to USD 12,000 per year toward tuition fees.
- Monthly stipend for living expenses.
- Health insurance coverage.
These scholarships reflect HEC’s long-term vision of providing Pakistani students and professionals with world-class research exposure and international learning opportunities. Graduates of this program are expected to return home and contribute to Pakistan’s academic growth, innovation, and policy development, especially in critical sectors like engineering, health sciences, computer science, agriculture, and social sciences.
Application Details and Deadlines
HEC has announced the following deadlines for applications:
- Spring/Summer 2026 admissions: November 15, 2025
- Fall 2026 admissions: April 30, 2026
