Starting today, HBL cardholders can add their credit and debit cards to Google Wallet on Android and Wear OS devices. This step strengthens HBL’s commitment to safe and modern digital payments.
As Pakistan’s largest card issuer, HBL serves over 7 million customers and leads in transaction volumes, with HBL Cards consistently having the highest spending rates.
Through this partnership with Google, HBL customers can now add their Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards to Google Wallet. This makes it easy to make fast, secure, and contactless payments in stores, in apps, and online using Google Pay.
Aamir Kureshi, Head of Products, Transactional Services & Solution Delivery at HBL, shared his thoughts: “We are excited to bring Google Wallet to our customers in Pakistan. This launch reflects our focus on using the latest technology to make banking more convenient and secure.”
Farhan Qureshi, Country Director for Google Pakistan, added: “Digital payments in Pakistan are growing fast, and more people are using online transactions. Google Wallet offers a safe, easy, and efficient way to pay, shop, and travel. Users can tap to pay in stores, check out online smoothly, and store their boarding passes in one place. Most importantly, this will help improve financial access for more Pakistanis and create new economic opportunities. This launch shows Google’s strong support for Pakistan’s digital future.”
