Pakistan’s young and promising batter Hasan Nawaz has expressed confidence in his team’s preparations for the upcoming T20I tri-series against Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), as well as the highly anticipated ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025.
The 20-year-old right-handed batter, who has already represented Pakistan in 13 T20 Internationals, believes that the team is showing strong signs of consistency and unity. He shared that the players are in good form and determined to continue their performance in the crucial matches ahead.
Nawaz recently played a vital role in Agha XI’s victory over Saim XI during an intrasquad practice match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. His confident batting display highlighted his growing importance in Pakistan’s T20 setup.
Following the match, Nawaz joined Pakistan’s mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed in a special video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), where both players discussed the practice game and their team’s preparations.
Abrar praised Nawaz and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris for their powerful batting that turned the game in Agha XI’s favor. He also highlighted the positive energy and competitive spirit among the squad members.
In response, Hasan Nawaz returned the compliment, appreciating Abrar Ahmed’s fielding brilliance and bowling efforts that kept Saim XI restricted to a low score. Nawaz also singled out senior opener Fakhar Zaman, praising his aggressive innings that boosted the team’s morale.
“The catch you took and the way you bowled were outstanding, and that really helped us put them under pressure,” Nawaz told Abrar during the conversation.
He further added, “The players are in good form, and Fakhar played really well. With the will of Almighty Allah, everyone’s effort, including mine, will be to continue this form for the tri-series and Asia Cup.”
To prepare for the upcoming tournaments, the Pakistan national squad is currently participating in an intensive training camp in Dubai. The camp focuses on improving fitness, sharpening skills, and building strong team coordination before the official matches begin.
Coaches and senior players have been working closely with youngsters like Hasan Nawaz to ensure they are mentally and physically ready for high-pressure games, especially the Asia Cup clash against India, which is one of the most awaited matches of the year.
Hasan Nawaz’s remarks reflect the growing confidence within the Pakistani camp. The mix of experienced players like Fakhar Zaman and young talents like Nawaz himself shows a promising balance. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the Men in Green carry their form from the practice games into the tri-series and then the Asia Cup 2025, where the pressure will be at its peak.
