GC Women University Launches Summer Camp for Staff Development

Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) has officially started its month-long Summer Camp 2025, with a focus on the theme: “Transforming the Academic Ecosystem with AI and Professional Growth.” The aim of this summer camp is to improve the skills of university staff by introducing them to the latest trends in education, especially in artificial intelligence (AI) and personal development.

The opening ceremony of the camp was attended by several respected figures. Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad, was the chief guest. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.), Vice Chancellor of GCWUF, who welcomed all the participants and shared her vision for academic excellence through innovation and technology.

The camp is organized by the Faculty & Staff Development Center (FSDC). It is specially designed for academic and administrative staff (BPS-16 and above). The purpose is to provide them with practical training, modern skills, and new knowledge to help them grow in their careers and work more effectively.

Right after the inauguration, interactive and hands-on training sessions began. Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen conducted a powerful and engaging workshop on stress management and time management, helping staff learn how to stay productive and mentally healthy in a busy academic environment.

Another important session was led by Dr. Saira Saroya, a visiting academic from Southern Connecticut State University, USA. She guided participants on how to find opportunities for international scholarships, fellowships, and research programs. Her session gave valuable advice to those interested in global learning and career development.

In addition, the Director of IT Services and his team held a practical training session on AI tools at the Skill Development Center. This session helped participants understand how to use modern technology and digital tools in their everyday academic and administrative tasks.

The Summer Camp 2025 will continue until July 31, 2025, with many more sessions planned. These will include workshops, lectures, and training activities focusing on innovation, technology, AI integration in education, and professional growth. GCWUF’s goal is to create a forward-thinking learning environment and empower its faculty and staff with the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital world.
