Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students in South Korea

Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students in South Korea

In a significant step to promote international academic cooperation, ten top universities from South Korea have announced scholarships for students at the University of Home Economics (UHE), Lahore. These scholarships will help deserving students pursue higher education in advanced and specialized fields.

The announcement was officially made by Punjab’s Minister for Higher Education, Mr. Rana Sikandar Hayat. According to him, this scholarship opportunity will allow UHE students to study subjects like Aesthetics, Robotic Arms, and Aviation, which are among the most innovative and high-demand fields in today’s world.

This move is part of the Punjab Government’s long-term vision to expand international educational partnerships and provide students with the skills they need for a modern, global workforce. The government believes that by creating such global ties, students in Punjab will not only receive world-class education but will also bring that knowledge back home to contribute to Pakistan’s development.

Vice Chancellor of UHE, Prof. Dr. Zaib-un-nisa Hussain, expressed her gratitude to Punjab Chief Minister and the Higher Education Minister for their constant support and trust in the abilities of UHE students. She highlighted that the recognition of UHE on an international level is a proud moment for the university and for Pakistan.

Dr. Zaib-un-nisa called this collaboration a milestone achievement for the university, saying that it opens doors for academic excellence and global exposure. She also shared her hope that this initiative would inspire more students to dream big and work hard for a brighter future.

This promising development comes after a recent visit by a delegation of South Korean universities to UHE Lahore. During the visit, the Korean professors and representatives met with faculty members and students to discuss future areas of cooperation. They explored opportunities for joint research, student exchange programs, and curriculum development in line with international standards.

This educational partnership is expected to improve research opportunities, encourage innovation, and boost Pakistan’s image in the global academic community. It will also help young Pakistani students compete on the international stage, contribute to science and technology, and return with new ideas that can benefit the country.

In short, this collaboration is a win-win step for both Pakistan and South Korea. It is not just a scholarship program—it is the beginning of a new journey toward international learning, cultural exchange, and strong academic relationships.
