Full Schedule Announced for Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan Tri-Nation T20I Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that it will host a Tri-Nation T20 International series in November 2025. The tournament will feature three competitive teams – Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka – and will be played across two major cities, Lahore and Rawalpindi, from November 17 to November 29, 2025.

According to the PCB’s schedule, each team will face the other side twice in the group stage. This makes a total of six group matches. At the end of the group stage, the top two teams on the points table will qualify for the grand final, which is set to be played on November 29 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. In total, fans will get to watch seven thrilling matches during the series.

The event will start on November 17, when the home team Pakistan faces Afghanistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The second match of the series will take place on November 19, with Afghanistan going up against Sri Lanka, also in Rawalpindi.

After the first two matches, the action will move to Lahore, where the remaining fixtures will be held. Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka on November 22, followed by Pakistan meeting Afghanistan again on November 23. Afghanistan will then play their last group-stage match against Sri Lanka on November 25. Pakistan will meet Sri Lanka once more on November 27 before the highly anticipated final two days later.

This tri-nation tournament also comes during a busy international season for Pakistan. Just before this series, Pakistan will be hosting South Africa for a full tour. The Proteas will play two Test matches (part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 cycle), along with a three-match T20I series and three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) from October 12 to November 8.

PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Sumair Ahmed Syed, shared his excitement about hosting Pakistan’s first-ever T20I tri-series. He called the event an excellent opportunity for players to prepare for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, while also promising cricket fans top-quality entertainment.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sri Lanka and Afghanistan to Pakistan for our maiden T20I tri-series. This event is not only perfect preparation ahead of next year’s World Cup but also a great chance for fans to enjoy high-class cricket in Lahore and Rawalpindi,” he said.

He also praised the PCB’s recent success in hosting global tournaments, such as the ICC Champions Trophy and the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier, earlier this year. According to him, these achievements reflect PCB’s capability to host major cricketing events back-to-back at an international standard.

At present, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are already playing in another tri-nation T20I series in the UAE as part of their build-up to the Asia Cup 2025.
