Procurement & Contract Management Specialist
Procurement Specialist

Both roles demand expertise in procurement, contract administration, and digital ICT procurement processes. The selected professionals will be instrumental in managing large-scale procurement projects, implementing effective contract management strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (equivalent to 16 years of education) in one of the following disciplines:

Procurement & Supply Chain Management
Business Management
Project Management
Engineering
Finance
Social Sciences

Experience Requirements

To be considered for these prestigious positions, candidates must meet the following experience criteria:

A minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience in procurement and contract management.
At least 3 years of specialized experience in digital ICT procurement, covering areas such as Data Centre procurements and IT network solutions, including both hardware and software components.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working on World Bank-funded procurement projects, including contracts management for large-scale initiatives.
Practical knowledge of post-contract activities, such as dispute resolution, compliance monitoring, and vendor management.
Proficiency in using the World Bank Systematic Tracking Exchanges in Procurement (STEP) system or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools relevant to procurement management.
Professional certifications in Procurement or Contract Management will be considered an added advantage.

Essential Skills and Competencies

Candidates aspiring to secure these positions must exhibit the following skills:

Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken), ensuring effective communication with national and international stakeholders.
Strong computer proficiency, particularly in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) for document preparation and data analysis.
Hands-on experience with e-procurement applications, enabling efficient handling of digital procurement transactions.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating initiative and strategic thinking.
