Yuichiro Sakashita began his filmmaking career by writing and directing short films that displayed a keen sense of observation and narrative rhythm. His breakthrough came with The Tokyo Wind Orchestra (2017), a lighthearted yet meaningful film that showcased his ability to blend comedy with commentary on ambition and teamwork.
