Vignesh Vijayan was born in Ambasamudram, Tirunelveli, India. He completed his schooling at Velankanni Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai and later graduated from Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) in Sriperumbudur near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Before entering the film industry, he worked as a software engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions.

Vignesh began his career in the Tamil film industry with several minor roles, including appearances as a junior artist in films like Spyder (2017), directed by A. R. Murugadoss. Prior to his film debut, he was active as a performer and entertainer on television, hosting and participating in shows such as Vijay TV’s popular comedy competition Kalakka Povathu Yaaru (Season 08).

He transitioned into cinema through short films, including RAA (2019), a Tamil mystery thriller produced by Venkat Prabhu and directed by Pozhilan, as well as Pilot from Kalavu – Kalavum Katru Mara (2020), directed by Murali Karthick. These early projects helped Vignesh establish himself and gain experience in the Tamil film industry.
