Vichu Vishwanath is an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil-language films and television serials, primarily in comedic and supporting roles. He is best recognized for his frequent collaborations with director Sundar C, appearing in many of his films and television productions. With his natural flair for humor and timing, Vichu has carved out a space for himself in the Tamil entertainment industry, often playing sidekick or character roles that provide comic relief.

Born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, Vichu attended RK Sreerangammal Kalvi Nilayam Higher Secondary School. He is married to Hemalatha, and the couple has a daughter named Kokila. Vichu made his acting debut in Sandhana Kaatru (1990), where he played a negative role alongside established actors like Sarathkumar. It was during this film that he met Sundar C, who was then working as an assistant director. This meeting marked the beginning of a long-standing professional relationship. Vichu later collaborated with Sundar C in Murai Maman (1996), which kickstarted a series of successful partnerships in both film and television.

In 2017, Vichu Vishwanath extended his career into television by joining Sundar C’s production for the fantasy thriller serial Nandini. His transition into the small screen allowed him to reach a wider audience, and he continued to be a consistent presence in Tamil entertainment.
