Tarun Jain (born 18 May 1985) is a multifaceted Indian writer, actor, and entrepreneur who has made a mark in both the entertainment industry and the social sector. He is best known for co-writing the hit Bollywood films Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 and De De Pyaar De. In addition to his film work, Jain created, wrote, and acted in the digital sitcom Life Sahi Hai, which gained a loyal following for its humorous take on the lives of young Indian bachelors navigating adulthood.
Born and raised in New Delhi, Tarun completed his schooling at the prestigious St. Columba’s School. He then pursued higher education in the United States, earning both a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Before turning to filmmaking and writing, he worked in the tech and finance sectors, including a stint at a startup in California and at Capital One Financial in Virginia.
Beyond the screen, Tarun Jain is also a committed social entrepreneur. He is the founder of iForIndia.org, a non-profit organization aimed at promoting greater self-governance, transparency, and political accountability in India. Through this platform, he has blended his creative and civic interests, contributing to both cultural and social discourse in the country.
