Takako Matsu (松 たか子, Matsu Takako), born Takako Fujima (藤間 隆子) on June 10, 1977, is a celebrated Japanese actress and pop singer. Coming from a distinguished lineage of kabuki and buyō (traditional Japanese dance) performers, Matsu is part of the prestigious Matsumoto theatrical family. Her father is the renowned kabuki actor Matsumoto Hakuō II, and her brother is Matsumoto Kōshirō X. She also holds the natori (master name) Shodai Matsumoto Kōka in the Matsumoto school of Nihon Buyō.
She adopted the stage surname “Matsu” as a tribute to her theatrical family heritage.
In addition to her prolific acting career in film, television, and theater, Matsu has a successful career as a singer, known for her emotive vocal style and chart-topping singles. She married guitarist and record producer Yoshiyuki Sahashi in 2007, and her legal married name is Takako Sahashi (佐橋隆子).
