Pooja Vijay, professionally known as Swasika, is an Indian actress and television presenter who has made a mark in the Malayalam entertainment industry with her strong supporting and lead roles. While she began her career in Tamil cinema, Swasika gained popularity in Malayalam films and television, becoming a familiar face among audiences. Some of her most recognized works include Vasanthi (2021), Kumari (2022), Vivekanandan Viralanu (2024), and Lubber Pandhu (2024), where she displayed versatility across a range of characters.

Born on 5 November 1991 in Perumbavoor, Kerala, to Vijayakumar and Girija, Swasika developed a passion for the performing arts early on. After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Literature, she also trained in classical dance, a skill that later complemented her stage presence and television work. Her entry into films began with Vaigai, followed by roles in Goripalayam and Maithanam, where she portrayed traditional, culturally rooted characters. Her transition to Malayalam cinema was marked by her debut in Cinema Company (2012), followed by a lead role in Prabhuvinte Makkal the same year.

Swasika’s television career significantly boosted her popularity, especially with her portrayal of Seetha in Chinthavishtayaya Seetha, which earned her critical acclaim and a strong fan base. She also hosted shows, performed in stage programs, and participated in music videos and short films. Alongside acting, she remains active in cultural programs as a dancer and anchor.
