Sunil Shakya is a Mumbai-based casting director with a diverse background in the entertainment industry. Originally from Bari, a small town in Dholpur, Rajasthan, and with roots in Agra, Sunil has always been passionate about the arts. He pursued his education at Agra University, where he graduated with a Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the esteemed Lalit Kala Sansthan. This academic foundation helped shape his future career in the performing arts and gave him the skills necessary to succeed in the casting field.

In 2013, Sunil made the bold decision to move to Mumbai, where he began his professional journey in the film industry. He worked as an associate casting director alongside the renowned Upen Shukla in the television sector. Through this experience, Sunil honed his skills and gained valuable insight into the casting process for TV shows. His expertise quickly earned him recognition within the industry, and he soon began working on a variety of projects across different mediums.

Currently, Sunil is working on the casting for the Chinese movie “Ta Da Xuan Zang” in India, showcasing his ability to manage cross-cultural collaborations. With his growing experience and unique skill set, Sunil Shakya has made a name for himself as a versatile casting director who is passionate about bringing diverse talent to the screen.
