Sri Ganesh is an Indian director & writer. He was born on 1st January 1990 in Thiruvaigavur, India. In 2013, recognizing Ganesh’s potential, Mysskin encouraged him to leave his role as an assistant and pursue independent storytelling. During this transition, Ganesh participated in the popular Tamil television talent-hunt show Naalaiya Iyakkunar. The show became a vital networking platform where he connected with many emerging filmmakers, helping him build industry relationships that would support his directorial journey.

Ganesh made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film 8 Thottakkal (2017), a crime thriller inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s Stray Dog. The film, shot over 48 days, stood out for its realistic narrative and moral ambiguity. Its success led to a Malayalam remake titled Corona Papers, directed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan, further establishing Ganesh’s reputation.

His second directorial venture, Kuruthi Aattam, featuring actor Atharvaa, began production in 2018. However, the film faced multiple delays due to financial constraints and the COVID-19 pandemic. After five years of setbacks, the movie finally released in 2022, receiving appreciation for its action-packed narrative and intense performances.

In 2025, Ganesh collaborated with actor Siddharth for his third directorial project titled 3BHK. Scheduled for release in July 2025, the film marks Ganesh’s entry into a new storytelling space, blending drama and suspense. Known for his grounded narratives and unique cinematic approach, Ganesh continues to be a promising voice in contemporary Tamil cinema.
