Sreeja Ravi is an notable Indian actress. She was born on 7th April 1964 in Kannur, Kerala, India. Sreeja Ravi began her acting career in the early 1970s, appearing in Malayalam films like Manassu (1973), Sethubandhanam (1974), and Raathriyile Yaathrakkaar (1976). Though she started with on-screen roles, her true calling emerged in the field of dubbing, where she went on to build a legendary career.
In Tamil cinema, Sreeja made a small yet memorable appearance in the critically acclaimed film Kandukonden Kandukonden (2000). She played the role of a pregnant programmer sharing her housing struggles with Tabu’s character, adding emotional depth to the scene.
Sreeja later returned to Malayalam cinema with roles in films like Jimmy Ee Veedinte Aiswaryam (2019) and Anoop Sathyan’s family drama Varane Aavashyamundu (2020), where she portrayed Cookeramma alongside industry stalwarts like Shobhana, K.P.A.C. Lalitha, Dulquer Salmaan, and Kalyani Priyadarshan.

Her dubbing career began with crowd voice work in films like Thambu and Uttarayanam. She gradually progressed to dubbing for child artists and eventually gave her first heroine voice for the film Ilaneer. However, it was her work in Kattathe Kilikkoodu, where she dubbed for Revathi and Master Prashobh, that brought her widespread recognition in the Malayalam film industry.
Over the years, Sreeja Ravi has lent her voice to countless leading actresses including Kavya Madhavan, Divya Unni, Shalini, Gopika, Devayani, Sunitha, Charmila, Nayanthara, and Roma. Apart from acting and dubbing, she also worked as a dialogue writer and dubbing director for the Tamil and Malayalam versions of Gunasekhar’s epic film Shaakuntalam, dubbing for noted actresses like Gautami and Aditi Balan in Tamil.
