Shiva is an well known Indian actor and dialogue writer. His nickname is Mirchi Shiva. He was born on 10th December 1982 in Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu, India. Shiva began his acting career with a supporting role in the 2001 film 12B, where he portrayed Shaam’s friend. However, his major breakthrough came in 2007 when he played the lead in Venkat Prabhu’s sports comedy Chennai 600028, alongside an ensemble cast. The film’s commercial success firmly established Shiva as a promising actor in Tamil cinema. He reunited with Venkat Prabhu for Saroja (2008), another box office hit that further cemented his place in the industry.
In 2010, Shiva gained widespread acclaim for his role in Thamizh Padam, a full-length parody that hilariously mocked the clichés of Tamil cinema. His performance earned rave reviews, highlighting his flair for spoof and satire. Although his next film, Va Quarter Cutting, was only an average performer, Shiva continued exploring different genres with the romantic drama Pathinaaru (2011), marking his first non-comedy venture. Unfortunately, another project from that period, Siva Poojaiyil Karadi, never saw a release.
The year 2012 proved fruitful with Kalakalappu, directed by Sundar C., where Shiva’s portrayal of the small-time crook Raghu stole the show. Critics praised his effortless humor and sharp one-liners. Building on this momentum, 2013 became a particularly busy year. He starred in Thillu Mullu, a remake of the Rajinikanth classic, and followed it with successful outings in Sonna Puriyathu, Ya Ya, and Vanakkam Chennai—all showcasing his comedic brilliance and versatility.
