Shahzad Kashmiri is a multi-talented Pakistani cinematographer and director. He was born in Karachi, Pakistan. Shahzad Kashmiri works in Urdu television series and movies. He is known for Urdu serials like Humsafar and Dil-e-Muztar on the Pakistani channel Hum TV and his Urdu movie Bin Roye.
t is also aired on MBC Bollywood in the Middle East region and on Zindagi as Dil-e-Nadaan on 6th February 2015. It remains one of his highly regarded works. He also directed Alvida in 2013 and Maana Ka Gharana in 2015. Kashmiri made his film debut as a director with the movie Bin Roye with Producer Momina Duraid. The movie hit the screens on 18th July 2015. The film received critical acclaim and is the third highest-grossing movie in Pakistan.
The Directors’ Board of the Hum TV network awarded Kashmiri the Hum Honorary Phenomenal Serial Award in 2012 for the serial Humsafar. In 2014, he received a nomination at the 2nd Hum Awards under the Best Director Drama Serial category for the serial Dil-e-Muztar. In 2016, he received a nomination at the 15th Lux Awards under the Best Director category for the film Bin Roye.
He was also the cinematographer of television serials like Ishq Junoon Deewangi in 2009, Maat in 2011, Bilqees Kaur in 2012, Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu in 2012, Zard Mausam in 2012, and Anaa (2019). Kashmiri made his directorial debut in television with the drama series Dil-e-Muztar depicting a love triangle between the lead characters. The show first aired on 23rd February 2013 on Hum TV.
