The much-awaited Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistan’s rising star Hania Aamir, has finally hit the international screens. However, Sardaar Ji 3 had to rely entirely on the overseas audience due to the India ban—but it still reached a worldwide gross matching the first film’s numbers.

Diljit Dosanjh spoke openly about the situation, saying the team knew there would be losses, but they had to respect the circumstances. The decision to release the film only overseas was a bold one, but the loyal Punjabi and Pakistani diaspora responded positively. The presence of Hania Aamir, a beloved name in Pakistan, also played a big role in creating buzz across borders.

With a total global gross of ₹23.61 crore and a strong reception internationally, Sardaar Ji 3 has proven that Punjabi cinema has the power to perform even without traditional markets. The filmmakers are now hoping to continue earnings through digital platforms and streaming services.
