Sanjay Mishra is a popular Indian, television actor, film actor-filmmaker, and comedian. He was born on 6 October 1963 in Darbhanga, Bihar India.
Mishra graduated from the National School of Drama. His first acting debut was on the television series Chanakya in 1991. From 1991-2004, he starred in a series of TV series merely doing only the comic roles.
Mishra starred in Mirinda’s TV commercial along with legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan after having starred in a few commercials and television shows. Sanjay Mishra entered the spotlight when ESPN Star Sports spotted him as an icon of the Cricket World Cup 1999. His role of Apple Singh became a family name then.
In his first role, he played a transitory role in the parody film Oh Darling! Yeh Hain India! In 1995, he endeavored hard to strengthen his path in Bollywood until; he appeared in Bunty & Babli. After that, there was no sight back for him.
Since then, he has recognized himself as a famous comedian and his depiction in movies like Golmaal and its sequels, Phata Poster Nikla Hero and Dhamal amongst others are a perfect example of his illustrious work.
He has also starred in some serious characters in movies like Zameen, Charas, All the Best, Satya, and Plan amongst others. He presently played the role of villain in the acclaimed movie Anaarkali of Aarah. In 2017, he starred in as many as fourteen movies.
Mishra was the lead in the 2017 Hindi-language movie Angrezi Mein Kehte Hain which shows the love story of a mature couple. The three movies that have grossed him the utmost recognition and awards are Aankhon Dekhi, Phas Gaya Re Obama, and Masaan. Besides acting, Sanjay Mishra has also directed the movie, Pranaam Walekum.
Shambhu Nath Mishra worked for the Press Information Bureau and both his grandparents served in the Indian civil service. When his father got transferred he moved to Varanasi, where he studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya BHU.
In 2009, he married Kiran Mishra, and the two were blessed with two daughters, Lamha and Pal. Sanjay has schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya BHU Campus in Varanasi.
After this, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in the year 1989. After graduating in 1991, Sanjay took admitted to the National School of Drama in Delhi. During this time, he learned the nuances of acting.
