Sampath Nandi is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer. He was born on 20th June 1980 in Odela, Andhra Pradesh, India. Sampath Nandi is best known for Paperboy (2018), Seetimaarr (2021), Odela Railway Station (2022), Simbaa (2024) and Apart, Sampath Nandi also will be a write of the new upcoming Indian movie Odela 2 (2025). Sampath Nandi made an impactful directorial debut in 2010 with the romantic drama Yemaindi Ee Vela, starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Aggarwal. The film was a commercial success and completed a 50-day run in 32 centers, establishing Nandi as a promising filmmaker. Building on this momentum, he directed the 2012 blockbuster Racha, featuring Ram Charan and Tamannaah Bhatia. The film achieved significant commercial success, running for 50 days in 127 direct centers across Andhra Pradesh and completing a 100-day run in 38 centers—a rare and impressive feat. In 2015, Sampath Nandi directed Bengal Tiger, starring the energetic Ravi Teja, with Tamannaah and Raashi Khanna playing the female leads. The film was released worldwide on December 10, 2015, and was appreciated for its mass appeal and entertainment value. Continuing his streak, Nandi’s 2017 film Goutham Nanda, featuring Gopichand, Catherine Tresa, and Hansika Motwani, further highlighted his versatility in handling action and emotional drama.
Sampath Nandi once again collaborated with Gopichand for the 2021 sports-action film Seetimaarr, which revolves around the Indian sport of Kabaddi. Though its production began in December 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic caused significant delays. Despite the hurdles, Seetimaarr successfully released in theatres on September 10, 2021, and received a positive response for its sports-centric narrative and powerful performances.
