Rupan Bal moved to Canada with his family at the age of 14. Initially aspiring to become a lawyer, his career took a different path during his college years when he met popular YouTuber and comedian JusReign (Jasmeet Singh). Their collaboration sparked a series of viral comedic videos, in which Rupan became particularly known for playing the role of the stereotypical angry Punjabi mother, a character that quickly gained a massive fan following.
