Rohit Dhawan is an Indian director and also he is known as a screenwriter. He was born on 26 December 1983 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The talented director made his debut in Bollywood with the movie Desi Boyz in 2011.
The comedy-drama film that stars John Abraham, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, and Chitrangda Singh in lead roles received a mixed response at the box office.
Although Desi Boyz remains his directorial debut, David Dhawan in an interview revealed that Rohit had assisted him in writing Partner (2007).
Rohit`s 2016 releases include the action-comedy Dishoom, starring his younger brother Varun Dhawan, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Akshaye Khanna.
Rohit Dhawan is the son of director David Dhawan and his wife Karuna. He also has an uncle who is an actor, Anil Dhawan. His education at NYU film school was completed.
In 2011, Rohit became engaged to Jaanvi Desai, a fashion merchandiser, after dating her for seven years. In a Punjabi tradition, the couple got married on 10th February 2012 in Goa. They were blessed with a daughter, Niyara, on 30 May 2018.[4] Their second child, a son was born on 4 May 2022.
