Rajkumar Pitchumani is an Indian actor known for his impactful performances in Tamil cinema, particularly in psychological thrillers and horror films. He gained significant recognition for his role as Angulimala, the psychopathic antagonist, in Mysskin’s 2020 psychological thriller Psycho. His portrayal of the serial killer, who terrorizes Coimbatore by abducting and murdering women, was lauded for its intensity and depth, establishing him as a formidable presence in Tamil cinema.
Before his breakthrough in Psycho, Rajkumar began his career in the entertainment industry as a model and appeared in various advertisements. He honed his acting skills through theater, working with the Manal Magudi troupe, and gained experience behind the scenes as an assistant director, including a stint with director Krithika in Vanakkam Chennai. His collaboration with director Mysskin began during this period, eventually leading to his casting in Psycho.
Building on the success of Psycho, Rajkumar reunited with Mysskin for the horror film Pisasu 2, slated for release in 2025. In this sequel to the 2014 film Pisaasu, he shares the screen with Andrea Jeremiah and Vijay Sethupathi. The film, produced by Rockfort Entertainment, features music by Karthik Raja and continues Mysskin’s exploration of supernatural themes. Rajkumar’s involvement in Pisasu 2 underscores his growing stature in the Tamil film industry, particularly in roles that delve into the darker aspects of human psychology.
