Rajisha Vijayan is an Indian actress and former television presenter who primarily works in Malayalam and Tamil films. She was born in Perambra, Kozhikode, Kerala, to parents Vijayan and Sheela. Rajisha pursued a degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from Amity University, Noida. Before entering films, she gained popularity as a TV host, anchoring programs like Susi’s Code, a youth-centric show, Surya Challenge alongside Vidhu Pratap on Surya TV, and the talent show Ugram Ujwalam on Mazhavil Manorama.
Rajisha made her film debut in Malayalam cinema with Anuraga Karikkin Vellam (2016), which earned her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress. This breakthrough performance was followed by roles in films like Georgettan’s Pooram with Dileep and Oru Cinemakkaran starring Vineeth Sreenivasan. In addition to films, she showcased her acting versatility by performing in the theatre drama Hand of God, where she portrayed a queen. Despite some initial setbacks, Rajisha’s dedication to her craft was evident in every role.
In 2019, she starred in June, a coming-of-age film by Friday Film House, which became both a critical and commercial success, cementing her place as a talented actress in the industry. She continued her successful journey with the 2020 film Love, directed by Khalid Rahman, opposite Shine Tom Chacko. Rajisha made her Tamil film debut with the critically acclaimed movie Karnan (2021), directed by Mari Selvaraj, co-starring Dhanush and other prominent actors. With her strong screen presence and diverse role choices, Rajisha continues to be a promising talent in South Indian cinema.
