Poovaiyar is an Indian gaana singer and actor who primarily works in Tamil-language films. He rose to fame as a participant in Star Vijay’s Super Singer Junior Season 6, where he finished as the second runner-up. Known for his unique voice and energetic performances, Poovaiyar made his playback singing debut with a song in Natpe Thunai (2019) alongside Hiphop Tamizha Adhi. He gained wider recognition for co-singing the popular song “Verithanam” in Bigil (2019), where he also made a special appearance in the song sequence.
