Parvati Venugopal Nair (born 5 December 1992) is an Indian model and actress known for her work in the South Indian film industry. Hailing from a Malayali family in Abu Dhabi, she pursued a degree in software engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology. Parvati began her career as a model at the age of 15, featuring in various advertisements and fashion campaigns before transitioning into acting.
She made her acting debut in 2012 with the Malayalam anthology film Poppins, directed by V. K. Prakash. Since then, Parvati has appeared in several notable films across Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu cinema. Her breakthrough came with the Kannada film Story Kathe (2014), where her performance as a young journalist earned her the Best Kannada Debut Actress Award at the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA). In Tamil cinema, she gained widespread recognition for her role as a vengeful wife in Gautham Menon’s Yennai Arindhaal (2015), earning critical acclaim and a Filmfare nomination.
In 2015, Parvati starred in the Kannada film Vascodigama, portraying an English lecturer, which was both a critical and commercial success. Over the years, she has built a reputation for her versatility and impactful performances in diverse roles. Apart from acting, Parvati continues to be active in modeling and endorsements, making her one of the prominent faces in South Indian cinema.
