Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt, who has over 7.35 million subscribers on YouTube, is once again in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. Known for his vlogs and street-style content, Rajab has built a massive online following over the years. But this time, he’s not trending for a viral video — he’s facing serious legal trouble.

Case Filed Against Rajab Butt in Lahore Court
According to recent reports, a legal petition has been filed against Rajab Butt in the Lahore Sessions Court. The petition was submitted by a citizen named Shehzada Adnan through his lawyer Mudassar Chaudhry. The complaint alleges that Rajab Butt used disrespectful and offensive language about the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet) in one of his recent social media videos.
The petitioner claimed that he had already approached the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to register a case, but no action was taken. As a result, the court is now being asked to issue an order for FIR registration. The Additional Sessions Judge has taken notice of the matter and has issued notices to the concerned parties for further proceedings.
Not the First Time Rajab Butt Is in Trouble
This is not the first controversy surrounding Rajab Butt. In the past, he has faced multiple allegations and legal issues, including cases related to offensive content and clashes with other public figures. While his fan base continues to grow, so do his critics — especially when it comes to the sensitivity of his content.
Many social media users believe that with such a large audience, influencers like Rajab Butt have a responsibility to be careful with their words. The new case has once again raised questions about freedom of speech versus respect for religious sentiments in digital spaces.
Rajab Butt’s Reaction on Social Media
After the controversy began to gain attention, Rajab Butt posted a story on social media while traveling on an airplane. In that post, he wrote:
“Agar mashhoor hona hai to Pakistan se bahar jaa kar hona.”
(“If you want to be famous, you have to become famous outside of Pakistan.”)
This statement has added fuel to the fire, with some calling it a direct response to the backlash he’s currently facing. Many people on Twitter and Instagram criticized his attitude and said that he was not taking the issue seriously. Others defended him, saying he should be given a fair chance to explain.
