Oliver Cooper is an American actor and filmmaker. He was born on 2nd December 1988 in Sylvania Township, Ohio, U.S. He rose to prominence with his breakout role as Costa in the 2012 found-footage teen comedy Project X. His portrayal of the wild, party-loving teen earned him two MTV Movie & TV Award nominations and established him as a fresh comedic talent in Hollywood.

Following the success of Project X, Cooper appeared in a variety of film and television roles. In 2013, he had supporting roles in The Hangover Part III and the crime thriller Runner Runner. The following year, he starred in the horror-comedy Burying the Ex and played the recurring character Levon in the seventh season of Showtime’s Californication. That same year, he began his main role as Wheeler in the Amazon Prime Video coming-of-age comedy Red Oaks (2014–2017), showcasing his range in a more grounded, character-driven performance.

In 2016, Cooper appeared in the ensemble cast of Office Christmas Party, further cementing his place in comedy films. He transitioned to more dramatic and experimental roles in the late 2010s and early 2020s. Notably, he portrayed political strategist Joe Trippi in the Hugh Jackman-led political drama The Front Runner (2018) and starred as Todd Krizelman in National Geographic’s tech-industry docudrama Valley of the Boom (2019).

Cooper continued to diversify his work, starring in the heartfelt drama The Ultimate Playlist of Noise (2021) and the comedic crime caper Stealing Pulp Fiction (2024). A longtime collaborator with childhood friend and filmmaker Joe Burke, Cooper co-wrote, produced, and starred in Four Dogs (2013) and Burt (2025), both of which highlight his talents beyond acting.
