Ok Taec-yeon (옥택연) is a Japanese rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur, His also known as Taecyeon, He was born on 27th December 1988 in Gangnam District, Seoul, South Korea. Ok Taec-yeon made his acting debut in 2010 with the KBS drama Cinderella’s Sister, where he starred alongside Moon Geun-young and Chun Jung-myung. He gained widespread popularity the same year with the high school drama Dream High, which was a domestic hit and found international acclaim.
In 2011, he made his Japanese drama debut with FujiTV’s Boku to Star no 99 Nichi, acting alongside Japanese actor Nishijima Hidetoshi and South Korean actress Kim Tae-hee. In 2013, Ok joined the global edition of the variety show We Got Married opposite Taiwanese actress Emma Wu. That same year, he made his film debut in the romantic comedy Marriage Blue, contributing two songs to its soundtrack.
In 2014, Ok played a bodyguard in KBS’s Wonderful Days and joined the popular variety show Three Meals a Day, where he earned praise for his down-to-earth personality. He returned for the show’s second season in 2015. That year, he also starred in the political drama Assembly, portraying a hardworking student with dreams of becoming a police officer.

Ok continued to diversify his roles in 2016 with the horror comedy Hey Ghost, Let’s Fight, and also appeared in the web drama 7 First Kisses. In 2017, he co-starred with Kim Yunjin in the mystery thriller House of the Disappeared, and played a leading role in OCN’s psychological thriller Save Me.
After completing his military service, he returned to acting in 2020 with The Game: Towards Zero, reuniting with Lee Yeon-hee. In 2021, he impressed viewers with his first major villain role in Vincenzo, and later appeared in the historical comedy Secret Royal Inspector & Joy. In 2022, he played a spy in Hansan: Rising Dragon, a war action film based on Admiral Yi Sun-sin’s legacy.
