Munnar Ramesh is an Indian actor known for his work in Tamil-language films, particularly in character and villain roles. Before entering the film industry, he worked in a travels company. He made his acting debut with Balu Mahendra’s Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam (2005). His breakthrough came with Pudhupettai (2006), where he portrayed Dhanush’s father and delivered the iconic dialogue “Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru”, which became widely popular and even inspired a film title.
Over the years, Ramesh has acted in over 100 films, frequently collaborating with acclaimed director Vetrimaaran. Some of his notable roles include his performance as a driver in 6 (2013), aiding Shaam’s character, and as a police officer in Vada Chennai (2018). In addition to acting, he has also lent his voice as a dubbing artiste for actors like Sayaji Shinde, showcasing his versatility in the Tamil film industry.
