Mishi Khan Urges PEMRA to Take Action Against Pakistani Dramas Promoting Violence

Mishi Khan PEMRA Pakistani Dramas

Pakistani actress Mishi Khan has raised serious concerns about the increasing amount of violence and inappropriate romantic scenes shown in Pakistani dramas. In particular, she criticized the drama serial Man Mast Malang for its excessive violence and romantic content, calling on PEMRA (Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority) to take strict action against such shows.

In a video shared on her Instagram, Mishi Khan expressed her frustration over the current state of television dramas. She asked PEMRA, “Where is your committee? Are they sleeping? Don’t they see what kind of dramas are being aired on TV these days?” She highlighted that dramas like Man Mast Malang are showing very disturbing scenes that are not suitable for society.

Mishi Khan pointed out that Man Mast Malang contains an unhealthy mix of violence and romance that promotes negative ideas. She questioned how such content can help society when heroes in these dramas are shown being violent to heroines immediately after romantic scenes and then laughing in a cruel way. She called these dramas “disturbing” and “inappropriate.”

She also mentioned another drama, Behroopia, and criticized the common portrayal of male leads, especially actor Danish Taimoor. According to Mishi Khan, Danish Taimoor often plays a passionate lover who becomes violent towards the heroine. She expressed disappointment that an actor who performs such roles is also going to be part of a Ramadan transmission next year, where he will supposedly teach Islamic values on what is right and wrong.

Mishi Khan’s main concern is the negative influence these dramas have on society. She warned that violence is being normalized through TV shows, which are watched in many homes across the country. She appealed to PEMRA to urgently take action against such content to protect viewers and encourage the creation of dramas with positive messages that benefit society.

In conclusion, Mishi Khan’s message is clear: Pakistani dramas should focus on promoting good values and social harmony instead of glorifying violence and unhealthy relationships. She hopes that regulators like PEMRA will take this issue seriously and work towards improving the quality and impact of television content for the betterment of society.
