Pakistani actress and anchor Mishi Khan is known for her fearless stance on political and social issues. She has consistently used her voice to stand against injustice — from openly criticizing political decisions in Pakistan to participating in protests against the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Unlike many celebrities who prefer to stay silent on controversial matters, Mishi Khan doesn’t hold back.
Following the recent tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, IIOJK, which claimed innocent lives, condolences and reactions have flooded in from across the globe. Several Pakistani celebrities, including Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir, also took to social media to express their sorrow.
However, Mishi Khan wasn’t impressed. Taking to Instagram, she strongly criticized these celebrities for their “selective outrage.” While she emphasized that any loss of life is heartbreaking, she questioned why these same stars remain silent when tragedies occur in Pakistan.
“Where is your self-respect?” she asked. “You’re quick to react when something happens across the border, even while Indian media blames Pakistan. Why didn’t we call off events or cricket matches in response to their accusations?”
Mishi urged the public and fellow stars to stand tall and show some dignity. “Learn to take a stand for your own country,” she concluded.
