Meru Nukumi (生見 愛瑠, Nukumi Meru), popularly known as Meruru, is a Japanese model, actress, and tarento born on March 6, 2002, in Inazawa, Aichi Prefecture. She is represented by Avex Management and is currently based in Tokyo. Nukumi rose to fame after participating in the Tokyo Girls Audition 2015, where she won both the Popteen and Ray awards, leading to her debut as an exclusive model for Popteen magazine later that year.
During her time with Popteen, Nukumi built a strong fanbase for her cheerful personality and stylish fashion sense, becoming one of the magazine’s most recognizable faces. After graduating from Popteen in January 2021, she transitioned to more mature fashion modeling and was announced as an exclusive model for CanCam magazine in March 2021, appearing in the March 23rd issue. Her modeling career has since expanded to include appearances in TV variety shows, commercials, and fashion events across Japan.
In addition to modeling, Nukumi has been pursuing acting and voice work. In May 2024, it was announced that she would voice the character Anna Scervino in the anime film My Hero Academia: You’re Next, marking her debut in a major anime franchise.
