Mandy Sekiguchi (関口 メンディー) is a American-Japanese actor, dancer & rapper, His also known as Sekiguchi Mendi, He was born on 25th January 1991 in New Jersey, United, States. Mandy Sekiguchi’s journey began in April 2011, when he participated in the Exile Professional Gym (EXPG) audition produced by Hiro. His outstanding skills earned him a place in the soon-to-debut boy group, Generations from Exile Tribe. By April 2012, he officially became a member of the group and made his debut in November 2012, marking the start of his professional entertainment career.
In April 2014, Mandy Sekiguchi made his first step into acting when he was cast in Fuji TV’s late-night program Wow. Shortly after, on April 27, 2014, he passed the Exile Performer Battle Audition Final at Nippon Budoukan and officially joined Exile. That same year, he debuted on stage in the play Dance Earth Project “Changes” and temporarily joined the coed group Dance Earth Party, further expanding his artistic experience.
In 2015, Mandy and his Generations bandmates were appointed as “Hong Kong Tourism Goodwill Ambassadors”. A year later, in April 2016, he joined the hip-hop unit Honest Boyz as the group’s MC under the name MANDY, marking his first role as a vocalist and rapper. His unique personality also found an outlet in fashion; in August 2017, he collaborated with 24karats×KANGOL to produce a collection of designer hats.

Mandy Sekiguchi expanded his acting career by appearing in LDH’s popular HiGH & LOW movie universe in 2017. In 2018, he gained national attention when he threw the first pitch at the Giants vs. Rakuten baseball game at Tokyo Dome, reaching a remarkable speed of 133 km/h—the fastest by an entertainer at that time. Later that year, Sanrio introduced a new character, Hello Mandy, inspired by his iconic image.
In 2019, Mandy Sekiguchi became the Japanese promotional representative for the Hollywood movie Aquaman, attended the Prince of Legend Premium Live Show, and appeared in the live-action drama adaptation of Motokare Mania, his first prime-time drama role. His group, Generations, released the single “Brand New Story”, featuring the English-language B-side track “Control Myself”, which showcased Mandy as a rapper.
On April 30, 2024, Mandy announced his graduation from Generations and his departure from LDH Japan on June 25, 2024. He shared his ambition to pursue a global career, aiming to become an artist active not only in Japan but also across the world. Mandy’s journey reflects his dedication to growth, versatility, and international aspirations.
