Mahira Khan Raees Poster Controversy

Mahira Khan, who worked with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the Indian film Raees, has finally reacted to the removal of her picture from the film’s posters. This is her first time speaking about the issue. Currently, Mahira Khan is busy promoting her upcoming film Love Guru, which will be released on Eid-ul-Adha. She stars alongside popular Pakistani actor Humayun Saeed in this movie. During the promotion of Love Guru, Mahira was asked how she felt about her image being removed from the Raees posters in India.

Mahira Khan Raees Poster Controversy

With great confidence, Mahira said she did not feel upset at all. In fact, she laughed it off and called it a very small and meaningless act. She believes that Pakistani artists have many reasons to be proud of their own entertainment industry and should not worry about such small issues. On the same occasion, Humayun Saeed also expressed his opinion. He said that India’s decision reflects a narrow and small mindset.

It is important to remember that after the Pulwama attack, the Indian government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposed a ban on Pakistani artists working in India. This was part of their effort to shift attention from their failures by blaming Pakistan without any proof.

The Modi government not only banned Pakistani actors and singers from Indian films, but also removed Pakistani artists from the songs and posters of many Indian movies that were popular in the past. Additionally, Pakistani YouTube channels, social media accounts of artists, and even Pakistani cricketers were blocked in India.
