Lillete Dubey is an well known Indian actress and also an theatre director. She was born on 7th September 1953 in Pune, India. Lillete Dubey worked has mainly been in Indian and international theatre, television, and films in Hindi and English. She is acclaimed for her well-praised performances in movies’ including ‘Zubeida’, ‘Monsoon Wedding’, ‘Chalte Chalte’, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, and others. Indian Actress Lillete Dubey will also be starring in the upcoming film Yaariyan 2 (2023). Barry John was the first person she worked with in her career and she was a founding member of his group, Theatre Action Group (TAG). She established her own theatre company, The Primetime Theatre Company, in 1991.
Lillete Dubey short films include Sonata and Purana Pyaar. Her has works in Qubool hai 2 on Zee5 premium, where she plays Nilofer alongside Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti. She debut her film with Love You Hamesha in 1999 starring Akshay Khanna and Sonali Bendre. In 2004 she played the role of Preity Zinta’s reel mother in the movie Lakshya. The film was directed by Farhan Akhtar and starred Hrithik Roshan as the male lead.
Lillete Dubey belong to Hindu family. Her father, Gobind Keswani, was an engineer with the Indian Railways, and her mother, Lila Keswani, was a Gynaecologist from Lady Harding who later worked with the Indian Army. Lillete’s husband Ravi Dubey was the youngest-ever General Manager of the Taj Mansingh hotel and rose to be the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at the Tata Group before he quit in 2004. He died of pancreatic cancer in 2015.
