King Kong is an well-known Indian actor and comedian. His real name is Shankar Ezhumalai. He was born on 18th August, 1971 in Varadharajapuram, Tamil Nadu, India. The actor, King Kong is best known for his Kacheri Arambam (2010), Chennai Express (2013), Bayam Oru Payanam (2016) and Kasethan Kadavulada (2023). Apart, King also will be a part of the new upcoming Indian movie Kick (2023).
The talented actor, King marked his acting debut in the late 1980s, and gained recognition playing a pivot role in 1990 Rajinikanth starrer, Adhisaya Piravi. Years later, a video clip titled Little Superstar, edited from the same film went viral over net. In the video, young King Kong in his early 20s was seen dancing to MC Miker G & DJ Sven’s “Holiday Rap”. The viral video was showcased in many TV shows and was immensely popular.
He has also done brief roles in a few hit Bollywood films, of which his role in Chennai Express is memorable. He was also seen in Ghoonghat, Biwi No: 1, Tera Jadoo Chal Gayaa etc. In 2007 it was reported that he was living in poverty and seeking for disability benefits. He was away from silver screen at that time. He soon received good roles from Tamil movies. He also made an appearance in British comedian Romesh Ranganathan’s BBC Three show Asian Provocateur in 2015.
