Kenji Kurata (倉田健次) is a Japanese screenwriter. He was born in Japan. He gained early recognition for Futari Monologue (2017), a teen drama adapted from the popular manga, which was later followed by a continuation in 2019. These projects highlighted his ability to capture the subtleties of adolescent emotions and relationships with authenticity and depth. Kurata further demonstrated his creative range with Indigo Children (2019), a heartfelt exploration of identity and human connection that received praise for its emotional complexity.
