Kavin (born Kavirajan on 22 June 1990) is an Indian actor best known for his work in Tamil cinema and television. With a career that began in the mid-2000s, he has emerged as one of the promising talents of his generation, earning both critical acclaim and commercial success across different formats of entertainment.

Hailing from Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, Kavin completed his higher education at Loyola College in Chennai. His entry into the entertainment industry began with the popular Tamil television series Kana Kaanum Kaalangal (2006–2007), where he played Siva, a lead role that introduced him to Tamil-speaking audiences. He went on to act in serials such as Thayumanavan and Saravanan Meenatchi. In the latter, he played Vettaiyan—a character that transformed from an antagonist to the main protagonist—earning him the Vijay Television Award for Favourite Actor Male in 2015 and widespread fan appreciation.

After establishing himself on television, Kavin transitioned to Tamil cinema. He appeared in small roles in films like Pizza (2012) and Indru Netru Naalai (2015), before landing a supporting role in Sathriyan (2017). His breakthrough as a film lead came with the romantic comedy Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma (2019). That same year, his appearance on the reality show Bigg Boss Tamil Season 3 significantly boosted his popularity and broadened his fan base.

Post-Bigg Boss, Kavin starred in the horror thriller Lift (2021), released directly on Disney+ Hotstar, where he received praise for his performance. He also explored filmmaking from behind the camera, working as an assistant director on the blockbuster Doctor (2021). In 2022, he appeared in the romantic web series Akash Vaani, continuing to diversify his work across formats.
