Katy M. O’Brian (born February 12, 1989) is an American actress recognized for her dynamic roles across television and film. She is known for portraying bodybuilder Jackie in Love Lies Bleeding, Elia Kane in The Mandalorian (seasons 2 and 3), George in Syfy’s Z Nation, Major Sara Grey in Black Lightning, Kimball in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Jentorra in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, O’Brian is of mixed African-American and European-American heritage and grew up with three older brothers. She began martial arts training at the age of five and earned a brown belt in Shorei Goju Ryu Karate by age nine. In addition to her athletic pursuits, she was active in music, particularly as a percussionist, and took part in various sports throughout her youth, laying the foundation for her versatile on-screen presence.
